Detailed Description of the ZTE A76

Display & Outdoor Visibility: 6.75-inch 90Hz HD+ LCD

The official Blade A76 screen is a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD that refreshes at 90Hz. GSMArena lists 720 × 1612, about 262 pixels per inch, so WhatsApp and YouTube look clean at arm's length while small text is softer than on a Full HD phone. The extra height is useful for Facebook and a split WhatsApp chat, and 90Hz makes scrolling feel lighter than a 60Hz budget panel.

ZTE rates high brightness at 500 nits on the official page, which is enough for a shop counter and a matatu seat, though midday sun still wants auto brightness and a bit of shade. The glass is a flat IPS sheet, so a cheap plastic film sits well. GSMArena lists Mohs level 4 on this 4G model, which is everyday protection, not gorilla-class.

Processor & Storage: Octa-core 1.8GHz, 4GB + 128GB

ZTE's official page names an octa-core processor up to 1.8GHz and a 50-month smoothness target. It does not print a chip brand. Calls, WhatsApp, M-Pesa, Chrome, and YouTube are the job. Heavy 3D games have to run on low settings, and 4GB of RAM will reload apps when you hop between many of them.

We stock 4GB + 128GB only. That is the Kenya cut on this page. GSMArena's 4G sheet also lists a 64GB version we do not keep. The same sheet says there is no memory-card slot on this 4G model; Kenyan shops sometimes write the opposite, so we do not promise a card tray. Software memory expansion, if the unit offers it, parks a few apps and does not turn 4GB into a gaming phone.

Camera System: 50MP Main and Helper Lenses

ZTE markets a 50MP AI triple camera. Daylight photos come from the 50MP main sensor with autofocus. The other lenses on the island are helpers; they do not each take a full picture the way a mid-range ultra-wide does. Treat this as a one-real-camera phone with AI night, snapshot, and dehaze modes on the official page.

Video is 1080p at 30fps on GSMArena's 4G sheet. Night shots need a steady hand. The front camera handles WhatsApp video calls and a quick selfie; ZTE's official page does not print a selfie megapixel figure, so we leave that number out. A single LED flash sits on the island.

Battery & Charging: 5,000mAh with 22.5W

ZTE's official graphics for this Blade list a 5,000mAh typical battery and 22.5W charging. That is a full day of calls, WhatsApp, and YouTube for most people, not a two-day cell. GSMArena's EU label on the 4G model quotes a long endurance loop; real Kenyan use with two SIMs and 4G will land shorter.

22.5W is faster than the 10W bricks on older entry phones, but ZTE's official page does not list a measured empty-to-full time. Ask in the shop whether a 22.5W brick is in the Kenya box; we have not seen an official in-box list. There is no wireless charging.

Kenyan Network Connectivity, Audio & Software

This is the 4.5G / 4G Blade A76, not the separate Blade A76 5G sold in other countries. ZTE's official page says 4.5G Fast Network. Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom 4G work; Safaricom 5G does not. Dual nano SIMs are on the 4G spec sheets. There is no eSIM on those sheets.

ZTE lists face unlock and a fingerprint reader. GSMArena's 4G page lists a 3.5mm headphone jack. NFC and FM are unspecified on that sheet, so we do not claim them. It runs Android 15 on the 4G spec sheets, with Google Gemini called out on the official page. Wi-Fi is dual-band and the port is USB-C.

Buyer Guidance: What It Is Not & Alternatives

Know what it is not. It is not 5G, even if an old shop title says so. It is not the A36, A56, or A57. The screen is HD+, RAM is 4GB, and the extra camera lenses are helpers. GSMArena lists IP54 on the 4G model, so rain and dust are the limit, not a swim. Liquid damage is still a risk.

The ZTE A76 price in Kenya is for the 4GB+128GB 4G unit we stock. If you want a Helio G85, a dedicated card slot, and a vivo warranty path, step to the vivo Y03. If you only need the basics and want to spend less, look at the Tecno Pop 10.

We sell genuine units from The Bazaar Plaza, Moi Avenue, 10th floor, Wing A, Suite 1038, Nairobi. WhatsApp +254 739 238 917. Same-day collection in Nairobi CBD, or we send it.

Questions about the ZTE A76

Is the ZTE A76 a 5G phone in Kenya?

No. The official Blade A76 page lists 4.5G, which is faster 4G, not 5G. It works on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom 4G. The Blade A76 5G sold elsewhere is a different phone.

Is the ZTE A76 waterproof?

ZTE's official page does not print an IP rating. GSMArena lists IP54 on the 4G model, which covers dust and splashes, not a swim.

Does the ZTE A76 come with a charger?

ZTE's official page does not publish an in-box list for Kenya. Ask in the shop to open the box. The phone itself supports 22.5W charging.

What is the battery size of the ZTE A76?

ZTE's official graphics show a 5,000mAh typical battery and 22.5W charging. That is a normal day of calls and WhatsApp, not a two-day cell.

Does the ZTE A76 have a memory card slot?

GSMArena's 4G sheet says no card slot. Some Kenyan shops write the opposite. We do not promise a tray; check the unit in the shop.

Does the ZTE A76 have a headphone jack?

GSMArena's 4G sheet lists a 3.5mm jack. ZTE's official page does not mention it, so confirm on the piece you pick up.

Is the ZTE A76 good for gaming?

It is fine for light, casual games. The official chip is an octa-core up to 1.8GHz with 4GB of RAM, so heavy 3D titles stay on low settings.

Are all three rear cameras on the A76 real?

No. You get a real 50MP main camera. The other lenses on the island are helpers. Daylight photos come from that one sensor.

Does the ZTE A76 have a fingerprint sensor?

Yes. The official page lists face unlock and fingerprint unlock. The reader sits on the side on the units we have seen.

ZTE A76 or vivo Y03: which one should I buy?

Take the Y03 if you want the Helio G85, a dedicated card slot, and a vivo Kenya spec sheet. Take the A76 if you want the taller 90Hz screen, 22.5W charging, and Android 15 on 4G.

Can I pay for the ZTE A76 in instalments?

Yes. Pick one of the two plans in the tables above: a low deposit and daily payments for 12 months, or 50% to 90% upfront and monthly payments for 1 to 6 months.

What do I need to buy the A76 on a payment plan?

Bring your original Kenyan ID and the deposit. The low-deposit daily plan also needs an active Safaricom line. We do the sign-up with you in the shop or over WhatsApp.

What happens if I miss a payment on the A76?

The phone is locked until you catch up. As soon as you pay what is due, it unlocks and you carry on with your plan.

Can I clear the A76 balance early?

Yes. You can pay off the balance any time, and paying early lowers the total you pay.

Can I get the A76 the same day?

Yes. Once the deposit is paid and the sign-up is done, you can collect it the same day at The Bazaar Plaza in Nairobi CBD, or we deliver it to you anywhere in Kenya.
