The Tecno Pop 10 is a simple first Android for calls, WhatsApp, and M-Pesa. You get a large 120Hz screen, a 5,000mAh battery, and two SIM cards without paying Spark money.
Buy it at Zentech Electronics Kenya for cash or. Pickup is at The Bazaar Plaza, or we deliver across Kenya.
The screen is a 6.67-inch IPS LCD at 720 x 1600, which works out to about 263 pixels per inch. That is HD+, so small text is a little softer than on a Full HD Spark, but WhatsApp chats, Facebook, YouTube, and M-Pesa sit comfortably at normal reading distance. The punch-hole camera sits in the top corner, so you keep most of the glass for the picture.
The refresh rate goes up to 120Hz, which is the surprise on a phone this simple: scrolling a status list or flipping through photos feels lighter than an older 60Hz Pop. It is still LCD, so blacks are grey in a dark room and midday sun on Moi Avenue will wash it out more than an AMOLED. There is no Gorilla Glass number on the Kenya spec sheet, so a cheap screen protector from day one is a good idea.
Processor & Storage: Unisoc T7250, 3GB + 64GB and a card slot
Inside is the Unisoc T7250, a 12nm chip with two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz, plus a Mali-G57 graphics unit. It is built for calls, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and M-Pesa. Opening Chrome with many tabs, or jumping between heavy apps, will reload pages. Light games run; Call of Duty on high settings will not stay smooth.
We stock the 3GB RAM + 64GB version. Tecno also advertises extended RAM, which borrows a slice of storage to look like extra memory, but the physical RAM is still 3GB, so apps close sooner than on an 8GB Spark. Storage is eMMC, not the faster UFS you get on dearer phones. The tray takes two nano SIMs and a microSD card, so you can add music and photos without giving up the second line. 64GB fills if a child keeps TikTok offline, so a card is worth buying with the phone.
Camera System: 13MP Main and 8MP Selfie, Both with Dual Flash
All your rear photos come from one 13MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens and phase-detect focus. The second circle on the back is the flash and a helper, not a second camera that takes its own pictures. In daylight, shop photos and WhatsApp status look clean enough. Night shots are noisy if you do not hold still, and there is no optical stabilisation.
On the front is an 8MP selfie camera with a dual flash, which is brighter than the 5MP fronts on older Pops and helps video calls in a dim room. Both cameras record up to 1080p. This is not a portrait phone: there is no ultra-wide lens and no night mode that matches a Spark 50.
Battery & Charging: 5,000mAh with 15W in the Box
The Kenyan Pop 10 has a 5,000mAh battery. Tecno's own lab talk on this model is about twenty hours of video or a long stretch of music, and a normal day of calls, WhatsApp, and a bit of YouTube ends with charge left. The Pop 10 Pro sold next to it in some shops has a 6,000mAh cell, so do not mix the two numbers.
The 15W charger uses USB-C and comes in the box. Charging is slow: a full fill from empty takes about two to three hours, so most people plug it in overnight or while they are at work. Tecno talks about a four-year fluency certificate and a battery that is meant to stay useful for years of daily charging, which matters more on a first phone than a headline watt figure.
Kenyan Network Connectivity, Audio & Software
It takes two nano SIM cards and works on 4G with Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom. It is not a 5G phone and the Kenya spec sheet does not list eSIM, so plan on physical SIMs. You get Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio for matches when data runs out, USB-C with OTG, a side fingerprint reader, and an infrared blaster that works as a TV remote.
The dual speakers are tuned with DTS and get loud enough for a small shop or a kitchen. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, so ordinary wired earphones plug in. It ships with Android 15. Tecno's Kenya page does not promise a set number of Android upgrades, so treat this as a phone you use now, not one you keep for five software generations.
Buyer Guidance: What It Is Not & Alternatives
Know what it is not. It is rated IP64, so dust, rain, and splashes are fine, and Tecno quotes drop resistance up to 1.5 metres, but it should not go under water and the warranty does not cover liquid damage. The screen is HD+ LCD, charging is 15W, the camera is a single 13MP sensor, and 3GB of RAM reloads apps. There is no NFC listed for Kenya.
The Tecno Pop 10 price in Kenya is the entry point to the Tecno phones we stock, and that is the honest reason to pick it: a first line, a parent, or a spare phone for calls. If you want a 50MP camera and a much bigger battery, step up to the Spark 50. If you prefer an Infinix with a similar budget and a dedicated card slot, look at the Smart 10.
We sell genuine units from The Bazaar Plaza, Moi Avenue, 10th floor, Wing A, Suite 1038, Nairobi. WhatsApp +254 739 238 917. We can hand it over in Nairobi today, or pack it for the courier.

Questions about the Tecno Pop 10
Is the Tecno Pop 10 waterproof?
No. It is rated IP64, which means it keeps out dust and handles rain and splashes, but it should not be dropped in water. Tecno's warranty does not cover liquid damage.
Does the Tecno Pop 10 come with a charger?
Yes. The box has the 15W USB-C charger and a cable. A full charge from empty takes about two to three hours.
What is the battery size of the Pop 10 in Kenya?
The Kenyan Pop 10 has a 5,000mAh battery. The Pop 10 Pro uses a 6,000mAh cell, which is why you may see the bigger number on some pages.
Does the Tecno Pop 10 support 5G?
No. It is a 4G phone and works on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom 4G. It takes two nano SIM cards and has no eSIM.
Does the Pop 10 have a memory card slot and a headphone jack?
Yes to both. You can use two SIMs and a microSD card together, and there is a 3.5mm jack at the bottom for ordinary earphones.
Is the Tecno Pop 10 good for gaming?
It is fine for light, casual games. Heavy 3D titles only stay smooth on low settings, so a regular gamer should look at the Spark 50 or a Helio G-series phone.
Tecno Pop 10 or Spark 50: which should I buy?
Take the Spark 50 if you want a 50MP camera, 128GB or 256GB, and a much bigger battery. Take the Pop 10 if you need a first phone for calls and WhatsApp and want to spend less.
How many megapixels is the Pop 10 camera?
The rear camera is 13MP with dual flash. The extra circle on the back is a helper, not a second 13MP camera. The front camera is 8MP with dual flash.
Does the Tecno Pop 10 have NFC?
Tecno's Kenya spec sheet does not list NFC, so do not count on tap-to-pay. You still get an infrared remote, FM radio, and dual speakers.
What Android version does the Pop 10 ship with?
It comes with Android 15. Tecno has not published a long upgrade promise for this model on the Kenya page.
Can I pay for the Tecno Pop 10 in instalments?
Yes. Pick one of the two plans in the tables above: a low deposit and daily payments for 12 months, or 50% to 90% upfront and monthly payments for 1 to 6 months.
What do I need to buy the Pop 10 on a payment plan?
Bring your original Kenyan ID and the deposit. The low-deposit daily plan also needs an active Safaricom line. We do the sign-up with you in the shop or over WhatsApp.
What happens if I miss a payment on the Pop 10?
The phone is locked until you catch up. As soon as you pay what is due, it unlocks and you carry on with your plan.
Can I clear the Pop 10 balance early?
Yes. You can pay off the balance any time, and paying early lowers the total you pay.
Can I get the Pop 10 the same day?
Yes. Once the deposit is paid and the sign-up is done, you can collect it the same day at The Bazaar Plaza in Nairobi CBD, or we deliver it to you anywhere in Kenya.
