We only take non-refurbished phones in good working condition. Final value depends on physical condition confirmed at assessment. When you trade in at Zentech, you are upgrading to a brand new genuine device — not Ex-UK or refurbished stock.

Why no A-series? The A-series loses value too quickly to make trade-in worthwhile for you. S-series and Note devices hold enough value to make a meaningful dent in your upgrade cost.

How it works

1. WhatsApp us first

Send your phone model, storage size, and photos of the front, back, sides, and a screenshot of battery health (Settings → Battery → Battery Health) to +254 739 238 917. We will give you a realistic estimate before you visit.

2. Come in for assessment

Visit us at Bazaar Plaza, 10th Floor. Our team assesses your phone in front of you — screen, battery, cameras, IMEI, account status, body condition. This takes 15–30 minutes. Do not factory reset before arriving. We test the phone live.

3. Upgrade and pay the difference

We agree a trade-in value. You choose your new device. You pay only the difference — and if you need to spread that cost, Lipa Pole Pole financing is available on eligible new devices.

Why trade-in at Zentech?

Most trade-in shops in Nairobi use your old phone to fund their Ex-UK or refurbished stock cycle. At Zentech, you are upgrading to a brand new, genuine device — not a used one. If the price difference is a barrier, we can cover it through Lipa Pole Pole with three separate partners: Onfon Mobile (*797# daily), Mogo (20% deposit, daily), or Wuezesha (typically 50% deposit, monthly — including tablets). They are not the same company.

We do not publish fixed KSh trade-in prices because values change with storage, battery health, screen condition, and market demand. WhatsApp us photos and we will give you an honest estimate before you travel.

Prepare before you visit

  • Back up photos, contacts, and WhatsApp to Google Drive or iCloud
  • Sign out of your iCloud account (iPhone) or Google/Samsung account
  • Do not factory reset yet — we test the phone before you erase it
  • Bring your National ID
  • Bring original box and charger if you have them (not mandatory)
  • Dial *#06# to note your IMEI number

Frequently asked questions

Can I trade in my iPhone 11 in Nairobi?

Yes. iPhone 11 and above is accepted. WhatsApp us a photo and your battery health screenshot for an estimate.

Do you accept Samsung A-series for trade-in?

No. We only accept Samsung S-series (S20 and above) and Note 20 series. A-series devices depreciate too quickly to offer a useful trade-in value.

How much will I get for my iPhone 13?

Trade-in value depends on storage size, battery health, screen condition, and market demand at the time. WhatsApp us photos and we will give you an honest estimate. We do not publish fixed prices because they change with market conditions.

Can I trade in a phone with a cracked screen?

A cracked screen reduces trade-in value significantly. Send us photos first and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth bringing in.

Do you accept phones bought from other shops?

Yes — as long as the phone meets our eligibility criteria and you have a valid National ID.

Can I combine my trade-in value with Lipa Pole Pole?

Does the iPhone need to be iCloud unlocked?

Yes. An iCloud-locked iPhone cannot be traded in. Make sure you can sign out of iCloud before visiting.

How long does the assessment take?

15–30 minutes for assessment. Allow up to an hour if you need data transfer to your new device on the same visit.

Can I trade in my iPhone 12 in Nairobi?

Yes. iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max are accepted if they are not refurbished, not iCloud-locked, and in working condition. WhatsApp photos for an estimate first.

Can I trade in a Samsung S21 or S22 in Kenya?

Yes. Samsung Galaxy S21, S22, and newer S-series models are accepted at our Nairobi CBD shop. A-series is not accepted.
