This Note uses a 6.99-inch AMOLED at 1080 × 2396, about 377 pixels per inch, running at up to 120Hz. That is Full HD class on a taller sheet than last year's Notes, so WhatsApp, YouTube, and novels feel roomy. Xiaomi quotes about 1,800 nits peak. Independent nit measurements for this exact 4G panel are still thin, so treat outdoor brightness as a modern AMOLED rather than a lab figure we measured ourselves.

Gorilla Glass 7i sits on a flat sheet. The punch-hole holds the 16MP selfie camera. This is not the 6.83-inch 1.5K 2772 × 1280 panel on the Note 17 Pro 5G. If you want the sharper 1.5K sheet, that is the Pro. If you want the extra height for video and reading, this 6.99-inch 4G Note is the one.

Processor & Storage: Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2, 6GB or 8GB

Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 on 6nm with Adreno 610 graphics. Calls, WhatsApp, M-Pesa, Chrome, and YouTube stay comfortable. Casual games run; heavy 3D titles want low or mid settings. It is 4G only. India reviews that quote an 8,000mAh cell and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 are a different regional Note 17. Do not mix those numbers with this unit.

Camera System: Single 50MP Main and 16MP Selfie

Battery & Charging: 7,700mAh with 45W Charging

The unit we describe has a 7,700mAh typical battery and 45W charging. That is the official figure on the Indonesia and global 4G sheets we used, because Xiaomi Kenya has not published a local product page for this Note yet. India 8,000mAh reviews are a different regional cut. Leave those out when you compare.

A cell this size is the reason people pick this Note: two days of light WhatsApp and video is realistic. 45W is slower than the 67W Pro. Confirm whether the Kenyan box includes the 45W brick when you collect, because Xiaomi sometimes ships the adapter by region. There is no wireless pad.

Kenyan Network Connectivity, Audio & Software

It takes two nano SIMs, or one SIM and a microSD card, and works on 4G with Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom. It is not a 5G phone and there is no eSIM on the spec we checked. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and an IR blaster sit on the sheet. NFC can vary by market, so check tap-to-pay in the shop.

There is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the databases we used. Stereo speakers handle video. The fingerprint reader is under the screen. It ships with HyperOS 3 on Android 16. IP65 covers jets of water and dust in the lab, not a dunk. Warranty does not treat every puddle as covered.
