Detailed Description of the vivo Y21d

Display & Outdoor Visibility: 6.68-inch 90Hz HD+ LCD

The Kenya spec lists a 6.68-inch LCD at 1608 × 720, about 264 pixels per inch. That is a slightly shorter, slightly sharper HD+ panel than the 6.74-inch 120Hz Y phones, and it refreshes at 90Hz, not 120Hz. Scrolling is lighter than a 60Hz budget screen and a step calmer than the 120Hz siblings.

High-brightness mode is 1,000 nits, enough for a shop counter and a matatu seat, a little less punchy than the 1,200-nit 6.74-inch Y. The glass is a flat LCD. A film is already applied and a case is in the Kenya box. Colours on the Kenya list are Jade Green and Coral Red, with a circular camera island that does not look like the pill-shaped 6.74-inch Y.

Processor & Storage: Unisoc T7225, three RAM and storage cuts

The Kenya chip is again the Unisoc T7225, 12nm, 1.8GHz octa-core, 4G only. Daily apps are the job. We stock three cuts: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 6GB+256GB, all LPDDR4X and eMMC 5.1. Take 6GB if you hop between WhatsApp, Chrome, and M-Pesa, because 4GB reloads apps sooner. Take 256GB if the phone holds years of video.

The tray holds two nano SIMs and a microSD card up to 2TB at the same time. Software can add extra extended RAM. Dual View in the camera is listed for 8GB models and above, so none of the cuts we stock get that mode. There is no UFS on this sheet.

Camera System: 50MP Main, 0.08MP Helper & 5MP Selfie

Daylight photos come from the 50MP main camera at f/1.8. The second rear lens is a 0.08MP helper at f/3.0. The island looks like two real cameras plus a ring; only one sensor takes the picture. Underwater photography is on the Kenya scene list because the body carries IP68 and IP69+. There is no OIS and no ultra-wide.

The selfie camera is 5MP at f/2.2. Video is listed as MP4. Night shots need a steady hand. A single rear flash sits on the circle. This is a clearer daylight camera than an 8MP Y, and it is not a V-series setup.

Battery & Charging: 6,500mAh with 44W in the Box

The Kenyan Y21d uses the 6,500mAh typical / 6,355mAh rated cell. Endurance matches the other 6,500mAh Y phones: a full day for most people, not a two-day promise once two SIMs and 4G are on. The 90Hz panel is a little kinder to the cell than a 120Hz screen left on high.

The Kenya box has the vivo 44W charger, a USB cable, a case, and a fitted film. That is the same wattage family as the Y11d, on the same cell size. vivo does not print a Kenya empty-to-full time here. There is no wireless charging.

Kenyan Network Connectivity, Audio & Software

It is 4G. The Kenya spec lists LTE including B28 and does not add a 5G row. Two nano SIMs plus microSD, no eSIM. Wi-Fi is dual-band, Bluetooth is 5.2, NFC is not supported, and FM radio is supported. No infrared blaster is listed on this sheet.

The Kenya spec does not list a headphone jack. Unlock is a side fingerprint reader. Software is the odd one in this group: Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, not OriginOS 6. If you wanted the newer Origin skin, this is not that phone. IP68 and IP69+ are on the Kenya basic list, with the same lab dunk and jet story as the Y31d, plus the usual liquid-damage warranty limit.

Buyer Guidance: What It Is Not & Alternatives

Know what it is not. It is 4G only. The screen is 90Hz HD+ LCD, not 120Hz and not AMOLED. The second camera is a helper. Software is Funtouch 15, not OriginOS 6. IP68 and IP69+ are lab ratings, not a licence to swim in the ocean. Charging while wet is out.
