Detailed Description of the OPPO A6x

Display & Outdoor Visibility: 6.75-inch 120Hz HD+ LCD

The Kenyan A6x uses a 6.75-inch LCD at 1570 × 720, about 256 pixels per inch. That is HD+, not Full HD, on a slightly larger panel than the A3 and A5. WhatsApp and YouTube look fine at normal reading distance, and the 120Hz refresh is the nicest everyday feel in this A-series group. Small text is still softer than on a Full HD Reno.

OPPO rates typical brightness at about 800 nits and high-brightness mode at 1,125 nits, so the screen stays readable outside. The glass is flat. Contrast is LCD: blacks look grey next to the Reno 13F AMOLED. If you came in expecting a 50MP AMOLED A6 Pro, this is a different phone.

Processor & Storage: Snapdragon 685, 4GB RAM, UFS 2.2

Inside is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 685 with an Adreno 610. It is a 4G chip on a 6nm process: four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. Calls, WhatsApp, M-Pesa, Facebook, and YouTube are smooth enough. Heavy 3D games need low settings. 4GB of physical RAM is the limit on every Kenya storage we stock, so apps reload if you keep many open.

We stock 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 4GB + 256GB. Storage is UFS 2.2, which is quicker than the eMMC on the A3 and A3x. Take 256GB if this is the family phone; 64GB fills once ColorOS and WhatsApp video are on it. OPPO Kenya lists a memory card slot and USB OTG. Reverse wired charging is on the marketing page if you have the right cable.

Camera System: 13MP Main, QVGA Helper & 5MP Selfie

Rear photos come from a 13MP wide camera with an f/2.2 lens and autofocus. That is a real sensor, not the 50MP some older shop copy claimed. Daylight WhatsApp shots are usable. The second lens is a QVGA monochrome helper at f/3.0; it does not take pictures on its own. There is no ultra-wide and no optical stabilisation.

Night photos are the weak part: you need light and a steady hand. Rear video is 1080p at 30fps with digital zoom up to 10x. The front camera is 5MP with a screen fill light, which is fine for video calls. ColorOS still offers portrait, night, panorama, and Google Lens.

Battery & Charging: 6,100mAh, No SUPERVOOC

OPPO Kenya's spec sheet lists a 6,100mAh typical battery (5,950mAh rated). Some other countries advertise a 6,500mAh A6x; if a foreign review quotes 6,500mAh, that is not the Kenya number. Official endurance claims on the Kenya page include long YouTube and call times; treat those as OPPO's own tests, not an independent lab.

Fast charge is listed as unsupported on the Kenya spec sheet. The box still has a charger, a USB-C cable, and a case, but this is not the 45W SUPERVOOC A3 or A5. Plan on a long top-up, overnight or at a desk. That is the main trade-off for the bigger cell.

Kenyan Network Connectivity, Audio & Software

It takes two nano SIM cards and works on 4G with Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom. It is not a 5G phone and OPPO Kenya does not list eSIM. LTE bands include 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, and 28 plus TDD 38, 40, and 41. Wi-Fi is 802.11ac, Bluetooth is 5.0, and there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. NFC is listed as unsupported.

It runs ColorOS 15. The fingerprint reader is on the side. IP64 means dust-tight and splash-resistant in a lab setting; rain is fine, a sink is not, and liquid damage is not covered. Kenya colours on the spec sheet are Plum Purple and Ice Blue.

Buyer Guidance: What It Is Not & Alternatives

Know what it is not. It is 4G only. The camera is 13MP, not 50MP. RAM is 4GB on every storage we stock. Charging is not SUPERVOOC. The screen is HD+ LCD. It is the A6x, not the A6 and not the A6 Pro.

The OPPO A6x price in Kenya sits with the other A-series phones, and you are paying for the 6.75-inch 120Hz screen, the 6,100mAh cell, and UFS storage. If you want 45W charging and an 8MP camera for less, look at the A3x. If you want a 50MP camera and 6GB or 8GB of RAM, step up to the A3.

We sell genuine units from The Bazaar Plaza, Moi Avenue, 10th floor, Wing A, Suite 1038, Nairobi. WhatsApp +254 739 238 917. Same-day collection in Nairobi CBD, or we send it.

OPPO A6x Lipa Pole Pole

Cash for the OPPO A6x is the figure on this page for the 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, or 4GB+256GB edition. There are three instalment plans in the tables: one is a small deposit and a daily amount for 12 months; another is 50% to 90% today and monthly for one to six months. People walk in saying lipa mdogo mdogo or lipa mos mos; others typed buy now pay later or lipa later — those names all open the same tables. Nairobi collection can be the same day; we also ship once sign-up is finished.

Green is the lowest total for that storage. A smaller deposit is easier to start. A lower total costs less if you can pay more today.

Questions about the OPPO A6x

Is the OPPO A6x waterproof?

No. It is rated IP64, so dust and splashes or light rain are fine, but it should not go under water. Liquid damage is not covered by the warranty.

Does the OPPO A6x come with a charger?

Yes. The Kenya box has a charger, a USB-C cable, a SIM tool, a case, and the guides. OPPO Kenya lists fast charge as unsupported, so it is not a 45W SUPERVOOC brick.

Is the OPPO A6x in Kenya 4G or 5G?

The A6x we stock is the Kenya 4G model, CPH2819, with the Snapdragon 685. It works on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom 4G. It has no eSIM.

What is the battery size of the OPPO A6x in Kenya?

OPPO Kenya lists 6,100mAh typical (5,950mAh rated). Some other markets advertise 6,500mAh. Use the 6,100mAh figure for the phone we sell.

Does the OPPO A6x have a 50MP camera?

No. OPPO Kenya lists a 13MP main camera and a QVGA helper. The selfie camera is 5MP. If an advert says 50MP, that is the wrong spec.

Does the OPPO A6x have a memory card slot or a headphone jack?

Yes to both. There is a memory card slot and a 3.5mm jack. It takes two nano SIM cards.

Is the OPPO A6x good for gaming?

It is fine for casual games. The Snapdragon 685 and 4GB of RAM are everyday hardware, so heavy 3D titles should stay on low settings.

OPPO A6x or OPPO A3: which should I buy?

Take the A3 if you want a 50MP camera, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 45W charging. Take the A6x if you want the larger 120Hz screen, UFS storage, and the 6,100mAh battery.

Should I get 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB on the A6x?

Get 256GB if this is the family phone. 128GB is the middle path. 64GB fills quickly even though you can add a memory card.

Does the OPPO A6x have NFC?

No. OPPO Kenya lists NFC as unsupported. Do not buy it expecting tap-to-pay.

Can I pay for the OPPO A6x in instalments?

Yes. Pick one of the three plans in the tables above: a low deposit and daily payments for 12 months, a 20% deposit and daily payments for 6, 9, or 12 months, or 50% to 90% upfront and monthly payments for 1 to 6 months.

What do I need to buy the A6x on a payment plan?

Bring your original Kenyan ID and the deposit. The low-deposit daily plan also needs an active Safaricom line. We do the sign-up with you in the shop or over WhatsApp.

What happens if I miss a payment on the A6x?

The phone is locked until you catch up. As soon as you pay what is due, it unlocks and you carry on with your plan.

Can I clear the A6x balance early?

Yes. You can pay off the balance any time, and paying early lowers the total you pay.

Can I get the A6x the same day?

Yes. Once the deposit is paid and the sign-up is done, you can collect it the same day at The Bazaar Plaza in Nairobi CBD, or we deliver it to you anywhere in Kenya.
