Detailed Description of the Redmi A7 Pro

Display & Outdoor Visibility: 6.9-inch 120Hz HD+ LCD

The screen is a 6.9-inch LCD at 1600 × 720, which is HD+, about 254 pixels per inch. WhatsApp and YouTube look clean at normal reading distance, but small text is softer than on a Full HD phone. The refresh rate goes up to 120Hz on supported apps, which is unusual on an entry Redmi and makes scrolling feel lighter than the 90Hz or 60Hz sets this class used to ship with.

Xiaomi rates the panel at 650 nits typically and 800 nits in high-brightness mode, with a sunlight mode for outdoor reading. It has DC dimming and the usual TÜV low-blue-light, flicker-free, and circadian certificates. Wet Touch 2.0 helps when your fingers are damp. It is still an LCD with a teardrop notch, not an AMOLED.

Processor & Storage: Unisoc T7250, 3GB or 4GB RAM

Inside is the Unisoc T7250, a 12nm 4G chip with two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz, and a Mali-G57 graphics unit. It handles calls, WhatsApp, M-Pesa, and YouTube. Opening big apps takes a moment, and heavy 3D games belong on another phone. Storage is UFS 2.2, which feels snappier than the eMMC chips on older A-series Redmis.

We stock 3GB+64GB, 4GB+64GB, and 4GB+128GB. Official global pages list 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB; the 3GB+64GB is the extra trim we keep in the shop. Take 4GB+128GB if you can, because 3GB reloads apps sooner. The tray holds two nano SIMs and a microSD card. Memory extension can borrow storage to act as extra RAM; that is software, not extra chips.

Camera System: 13MP Main, Helper Lens & 8MP Selfie

The rear setup is a 13MP main camera with an f/2.2 lens and a 1/3.06-inch sensor, plus an auxiliary helper that does not take pictures on its own. Xiaomi is clear about this: one real camera and one helper. In daylight it is fine for WhatsApp status. There is no ultra-wide lens and no optical stabilisation. Night mode helps a little, but low-light shots stay noisy.

Video is 1080p at 30fps on the rear and the front. The 8MP selfie camera at f/2.0 is the stronger of the two cameras for video calls. Some older shop listings still say 50MP; the Kenyan A7 Pro is the 13MP model, not the Indian A7 Pro 5G, which is a different phone with a 32MP camera.

Battery & Charging: 6,000mAh with 15W Charging

The Kenyan A7 Pro has a 6,000mAh typical battery. Xiaomi's own light-use test quotes about two and a third days, 49 hours of calls, or 35 hours of video. A normal day of calls, WhatsApp, and some YouTube ends with charge left over. This is a bigger cell than the 5,000mAh figure some older shop titles still use.

Charging is 15W through USB-C. The official package list includes an adapter, but Xiaomi says to confirm with the local seller. We will show you what is in the Kenyan box when you collect. 15W on a 6,000mAh cell is slow, so most people charge it overnight. It is not the 33W or 45W story of the 15C and 17.

Kenyan Network Connectivity, Audio & Software

It takes two nano SIM cards and a microSD card and works on 4G with Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom. It is not a 5G phone. The Indian A7 Pro 5G is a different model with a different chip; we do not stock that one here. Wi-Fi works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth is 5.2, and there is a 3.5mm headphone jack plus FM radio when you plug in wired earphones.

The fingerprint reader sits in the power button. It runs HyperOS 3. The Kenyan page does not promise a long Android-update count the way the Indian 5G model does, so treat software support as a Xiaomi A-series phone: functional, not flagship. There is no official IP water rating on the Kenya spec sheet.

Buyer Guidance: What It Is Not & Alternatives

Know what it is not. It is 4G only, the screen is HD+, the camera is 13MP not 50MP, and 15W charging is slow. RAM is 3GB or 4GB, so it reloads apps. It is not the Indian A7 Pro 5G, and it is not a Redmi 15C or 17.

The Redmi A7 Pro price in Kenya is the entry to the Redmi phones we stock. If you want 8GB of RAM, 33W charging, and a 50MP camera, step up to the Redmi 15C. If you want the 7,500mAh cell, look at the Redmi 17.

We sell genuine units from The Bazaar Plaza, Moi Avenue, 10th floor, Wing A, Suite 1038, Nairobi. WhatsApp +254 739 238 917. Pickup the same day in Nairobi, or we ship across Kenya.

Questions about the Redmi A7 Pro

Does the Redmi A7 Pro support 5G?

No. The Kenyan A7 Pro is a 4G phone with the Unisoc T7250. It works on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom 4G. The Indian A7 Pro 5G is a different model that we do not stock.

Is the Redmi A7 Pro camera 13MP or 50MP?

The Kenyan A7 Pro has a 13MP main camera and a helper lens. Listings that say 50MP are mixing it up with other Redmis. The Indian 5G model uses a 32MP camera and is not this phone.

What is the battery size of the Redmi A7 Pro in Kenya?

The Kenyan A7 Pro has a 6,000mAh typical battery. Some older shop titles still say 5,000mAh; that is not the official Kenya figure.

Does the Redmi A7 Pro come with a charger?

Xiaomi's package list includes an adapter, but the brand says contents can differ by region. We will confirm what is in the Kenyan box when you collect. Charging is 15W through USB-C.

Does the Redmi A7 Pro have a headphone jack or memory card slot?

Yes to both. There is a 3.5mm jack, and the tray takes two nano SIMs plus a microSD card.

Is the Redmi A7 Pro waterproof?

Xiaomi's Kenya page does not give an IP water rating. Treat it as a normal phone: wipe off rain, and do not drop it in water.

Is the Redmi A7 Pro good for gaming?

It is fine for casual games. The Unisoc T7250 and 3GB or 4GB of RAM are not meant for heavy 3D titles, so a regular gamer should look at the 15C or 17.

Redmi A7 Pro or Redmi 15C: which one should I buy?

Take the 15C if you want a 50MP camera, 33W charging, and 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Take the A7 Pro if you want to spend less and like the 120Hz screen and the headphone jack.

Should I get 3GB or 4GB on the A7 Pro?

Get 4GB+128GB if you can. The 3GB+64GB version is the cheapest and reloads apps sooner when you switch between WhatsApp, Chrome, and the camera.

Does the Redmi A7 Pro have a Kenya warranty?

Yes. Buy it from us as a genuine unit and we handle the local warranty. Bring the box and receipt if you ever need a service.

Can I pay for the Redmi A7 Pro in instalments?

Yes. Pick one of the two plans in the tables above: a low deposit and daily payments for 12 months, or 50% to 90% upfront and monthly payments for 1 to 6 months.

What do I need to buy the A7 Pro on a payment plan?

Bring your original Kenyan ID and the deposit. The low-deposit daily plan also needs an active Safaricom line. We do the sign-up with you in the shop or over WhatsApp.

What happens if I miss a payment on the A7 Pro?

The phone is locked until you catch up. As soon as you pay what is due, it unlocks and you carry on with your plan.

Can I clear the A7 Pro balance early?

Yes. You can pay off the balance any time, and paying early lowers the total you pay.

Can I get the A7 Pro the same day?

Yes. Once the deposit is paid and the sign-up is done, you can collect it the same day at The Bazaar Plaza in Nairobi CBD, or we deliver it to you anywhere in Kenya.
