Detailed Description of the Samsung Galaxy S21+

Display & Outdoor Visibility: 6.7-inch 120Hz Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X

The screen is a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X at 1080 x 2400. That is Full HD+, not QHD. The refresh rate goes up to 120Hz, so scrolling feels smoother than a 60Hz phone. Gorilla Glass Victus covers the front. The sides are flatter than the Note 20 Ultra, so a cheap glass sits better.

Samsung rated the panel bright enough for outdoor maps if you raise the slider. Because these are renewed units, look for burn-in on the status bar and keyboard before you pay. The current listing photos show a black S21+ with Galaxy S21+ 5G on the lock screen.

Processor & Storage: Exynos 2100 or Snapdragon 888, 128GB or 256GB

Samsung sold two chips. Many African and European units used the Exynos 2100. Some other regions got the Snapdragon 888. These are renewed phones, so we open About phone with you. Both chips are 2021 flagship silicon: they still run everyday apps and most games, but they run warmer than today's mid-range phones.

We stock 128GB and 256GB. There is no memory card slot. RAM is typically 8GB. The weekly plan lists 128GB Excellent with a published weekly figure; 256GB Excellent is on the table with the deposit, and we confirm the weekly on WhatsApp if the financier did not print it.

Camera System: 12MP Main, 64MP 3x Zoom & 12MP Ultra-wide

The rear cameras are three real sensors. The 12MP main with optical stabilisation is the everyday lens. The 64MP telephoto gives 3x optical zoom. The 12MP ultra-wide is for rooms and groups. There is no 10x periscope and no S Pen. The front camera is 10MP.

Video goes to 8K on the main camera and 4K on the others. Night shots need a steady hand. This is not an Ultra camera deck. If you want 10x zoom and a pen, look at the S22 Ultra or the S23 Ultra.

Battery & Charging: 4,800mAh and 25W

The battery is 4,800mAh. That sits between the Note 20 and today's 5,000mAh phones. Battery health on a refurbished phone varies, so ask us to show the health reading on the unit you pick.

Samsung rated wired charging at 25W, plus wireless charging. A 25W USB-C charger fills it in a bit over an hour. The original box shipped without a wall charger, and a renewed pack may or may not include one.

Kenyan Network Connectivity, Audio & Software

It is a 5G phone. Safaricom 5G works where the network is live, and it falls back to 4G on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom. Most units take two nano SIM cards. Check the tray. There is no headphone jack. Stereo speakers sit at the bottom and in the earpiece.

The phone launched on Android 11. Samsung promised three major Android upgrades, which took most units to Android 14, plus four years of security. Do not buy it expecting another long run of major versions.

Buyer Guidance: What It Is Not & Alternatives
